Hulu, is an online, advertising supported, video service that offers hit TV shows, movies and clips at Hulu.com, was founded in March 2007 by NBC Universal and News Corp, is operated independently by a dedicated management team with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Beijing. As part of its investment programme the company closed a $100 million investment from private equity firm Providence Equity Partners in October 2007. Hulu is currently only available in the US. Hulu serves up a broad range of videos from over 50 content providers, including FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros. and more. Users can watch current primetime TV shows the morning after they air. Hulu offers its users the opportunity to customize their viewing experience; uniquely its search feature allows them to find premium video content offsite. Hulu also offers its users the freedom to share full-length episodes or clips via e-mail or to embed clips onto other Web sites, blogs and social networking pages. Videos are available for unlimited streaming, alloing Hulu's customers to watch their favorite shows and clips over and over again. As of now Hulu is only available in the US.
